Spring Onion Oil

This is a simple and tasty spring onion oil for Asian foods. It’s found on a lot of dishes in Vietnamese and Chinese and many others. So it goes very well with grilled meats or rice noodle dishes.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 stalks spring onion
  • 1/4 cup oil neutral one like vegetable, canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of minced ginger

Methods

  1. Wash and thinly slice scallions
  2. Heat oil over medium heat. After 30 seconds, test heat by dropping in one piece. If it sizzles, it’s ready.
  3. Add all the sliced scallions, mix scallions in the pan for about 30 seconds or until softened.
