Chef Tamaki Nakatani
Chef Tamaki was born in Osaka in Japan. She has always had a passion for food. After a Bachelors degree in Agriculture and a few years of working at a Japanese company, she decided to become a chef in Australia. So in 2009, she came to Melbourne for studying commercial cookery at William Angliss Institute of TAFE and got a chef qualification.
Since then she has worked for a number of Melbourne’s well known restaurants including her current workplace, Ocha Japanese Restaurant.
Tamaki’s passion is introducing people to the foods and cultures as well as to the joy of cooking. She's now happy to share her knowledge and her love for the foods with other foodie people at Otao kitchen.
